You will probably need a stock install to grab the files from and you will have to add the file for the non-stock ships, its a long process so i would create a test mission to make sure it works before doing all the aircraft. I actually like having just the black dot for ships. Besides, you usually have a bunch of time to respond. In the Narwhal I just can't seem to dive or crash dive fast enough. That's the main reason why I'd like to have the plane visual contact on the map, or at least a radar contact like when they're out of visual range.

Anyways, that looks like I could screw a lot up trying to modify all those files.


Unless, I could just put a dot or gray square on for when they are in visual range. What do you think?
