Hiya,
Not had a "close spy Launch" yet But the sole spy dropoff i did was in fog (luckily) I got as close to the marker as i could and got the launch/postpone text popup Now seeing as you're going into a port (mines was the tip of northern ireland) i would time the dropoff to be in the dark, and go in as close as safe, slowly on surface at first then go very slowspeed running silent as close to the bottom as you can And try to get a reccy of the post from a distance to try and figure out what you may happen across Seemed to work in sh4 Tmo etc Let us know what tactics you use work (would help a fair number of guys out i guess) Goodluck

I've had one spy drop off mission so far but it was a long time ago. As I vaguely recall I ran in close to the beach and had to wait till something like 1 AM and then the boat launched with the spy in it. I don't recall if I had to hit a button that popped up to launch though.
