Dude, you so totally reminded me of fun things to do with floppies. Ever play floppy disk golf with your friends, using each other as the targets? Or, how about the countless other drinking games that could be invented? The usefulness of the floppy disk does not end at the floppy drive.

We would crack them open and use the magnetic disk as a coaster and then glue them back together and leave them laying around where unsuspecting people would stick them in a floppy drive and wonder why they weren't reading any files. Sometimes we would mix the magnetic disks up in other peoples disks to mess with their heads.

I remember making a backup copy of Star wars Tie Fighter took something like 30 floppies and like 3 hrs to complete

I don't even have a floppy drive threw it out years ago. Came in handy for formatting Windows 95/98 back in the day but once xp came out there was no need for a floppy startup disk anymore.
