In the summertime: perfectly happy. In the wintertime: longing for some summer heat (becauseI hate frigging winter).  Back on subject: I agree, most likely (depending on the severity of changes) you will have to start new campaign. Good thing is, because the game SHOULD notify you about updating, you can finish your current campaign and then install the patch.
