I'm ashamed to say I picked this up on DVD ages ago and have yet to watch it.

Another great Crowe film/performance IMO: Cinderella Man. Can't believe I forgot about it when I was posting above.

Saw it in the theater, and it was the only time I've ever seen a bunch of "average" moviegoers (i.e. not a theater full of Star Wars geeks watching a SW film) burst into spontaneous applause at the end of a movie.

Excellent movie. It's very endearing, righteously funny in places. What I read of the book was hilarious.
