Not in this lifetime. But, thanks, anyway.

I am starting to lean in the direction of Itchy's post below. I pre-ordered "Age of Conan" and got screwed. Swore I would never pre-order again but ended up placing pre-order on SH5 and guess what. Yeah, that is correct. Same Story and I should have known better since I beta tested SH4 and my first 2 bugs I found (within minutes of use) and reported were "NEVER" fixed by UbiSoft. Instead, it is fixed by a MOD. Props rotating in wrong direction, hmmm. DEV's tried telling me it was an optical illusion. I STOPPED testing my first day within hours of starting and didn't even consider buying SH4. The only reason I have SH4 is, "it was giving to me" in December, 2009. Out of box with patches, no MODs, SH4 still sucks so I am not really expecting ANYTHING from Ubi on this next patch.
All I can tell myself is "Lesson Learned". I will never pre-order anything and I will not buy off shelf until I can confirm a software package quality is worth invetigating. Either by grape-vine or TRUSTED reviewer who hasn't lost integrity of being bought. It is my opinion someone paid for some of the SH5 reviews because in light if playing the SH5 game, some reviews set expectations that never materialised.

I think Patch v1.2 is UbiSoft's attempt at a April fool's joke that was delayed, and delayed again due to unforseen issue's.

Are you serious? You were an Official Beta Tester for SH4?! You live in the U.S? Was it farmed out to certain members of this Community or did you work for Ubisoft America?

Was there a similar open Beta test for SH5?

How long before the realease deadline did you report the two bugs you mentioned? This is the first time I've seen any Intel from actually inside the production of one of these games. What else have you got? I'm ALL ears.

If what you're saying is true, that would explain alot. They don't listen to their own beta-testers... wonderful.
I was never big on conspiracy theories, but I can just imagine it now; beta-testers report on a multitude of bugs, devs ask for more time to fix them, the Big Boss says screw it, time is money, ship it out anyways.
No wonder people are upset.

Honestly, I really don't remember. I dropped SH4 and ran as if it were ready to explose and I never went back until December, 2009. I don't even know when it released.
I retired from the software industry a couple years later where I worked as a Software Test Engineer / Network Designer (MCSE, MCP, NCP, hmmm, heck I don't even remeber all my certifications anymore).

I Suppose not...

Feuer Frei Do you own the game? And to others; I will express my feelings...

Do you know how it is having to be online to play all the time?

Do you know it is not having hydrophone and hydrophone info?

Do you know how it is without depth under keel and without compass?

Do you know how it is to not be able to set rudder other than 1,25, manually?

Do you know how pain-in-the-ass it is to buy the game, not be able to play it for 3 days because the DRM servers are down, and then just to discover that the game is unplayabale because of the bugs? And then wait 1 month for a patch, and then 1 week, and then one another week, and then it is set to undetermined release?

It's such a pain-in-the-ass. And YES, i put the blame on YOU ubisoft.

It's almost comedic tragedic. But it isn't.

I've been a cheerleader for this sim in the past myself but it's just been beaten out of me by the treatment we as paying customers of the gendre have received. I can't understand why some are outraged at the gentle dig I made but will just go on making allowances for the treatment of a major corporation that should be mature and right full up with adults.

You can't fool me by repeating the same word three times, the theme is 'the alphabet' right?

Hahahaha!

I'm patient...
I was right to not purchase SH5 before patch 1.4 will be release ... and the price of SH5 is still growing down...
