"And Joe's right and I'll name another person, I'll name Rush Limbaugh who uses this phrase constantly and talks about the Obama administration as a regime," Heilemann said. "That phrase which has connotations of tyranny. And what's so interesting about it to me, to get to Norah's point - what is the focus, what is the cause of this? You think back to 1994, there was Ruby Ridge. There was Waco. There were triggering incidents. There's been nothing like that. The only thing that's changed in the last 15 months is the election of Barack Obama. And as far as I can see, in terms of the policies that Obama has implemented, there's nothing."
not to mention that the Bush government was also called a regime, at least here, but I guess it wasn't that different in the US.

Protesting is one thing. Advocating armed overthrow of a democratically elected government is sedition.

The question one has to ask.

At what point does "Sedition" become a patriotic defense of one's nation?

after all... experience hath shown that mankind is more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

Right?

The United States Congress exists to represent the will of the people - not the other way around.

It is THEY who have committed acts of treason and sedition against this nation.

It is WE the people who are in charge of THEM

they have forgotten this...

and when ANY form of government becomes destructive to these ends it is the right OF THE PEOPLE TO ALTER OR ABOLISH IT

did you pay ANY attention in elementary school?!

what one man might call sedition - another man might call a patriotic duty.

Were not the signers of the declaration of independence guilty of "sedition" or "Treason"?

If such a document were in circulation today to rid ourselves of ALL of these fools in Washington DC... I would pledge my life, my fortune and my sacred duty and sign the Gadamned thing without hesitation.

^I usually don't get involved in political discussions on subsim (or anywhere else for that matter) but you NAILED it.

I'm also tired of this government and their policy of "rich ruling while the poor masses can f--- off".

THERE WOULD BE NO US GOVERNMENT WITHOUT ITS CITIZENS.

You have a vote. We run elections. Use it! If you don't like the people in congress, vote them out! You don't get to talk sedition because your guy lost the race.
