sure its fun for a few minutes but id rather spend my time on the scope or charts (not climbing that damned ladder!).

basically i want to know if i can issue all commands from a hotkey, without having to run around the whole ship.

thanks!

What's wrong with climbing a ladder? Real U-boat commanders did plenty of that.

Different people play in different ways, nothing wrong with that either! Did you find the mod for the teleporting?

Sims? Be glad it's not Dwarf Fortress.

Urist McHelmsman cancels Blow Ballast -- getting wine
Urist McTorpedo Dude cancels Load Torpedo Tube 3 -- job item lost or misplaced
Urist McGhost cancels Flank Speed ahead -- too insane
A British-speaking force of sub hunting has arrived!

I don't see why people dislike having to dive down the ladder when destroyers show up. In SHIII it was "ah, yawn, another enemy torpedo boat... [C key]", now it's "Damnit, damnit, damnit, get below deck everyone! [tracers buzz past conning tower] Yaaah, duck!".

Heh, it's funny, they complain about having to climb ladders and move through the boat, yet these very same people would be the first to cry about realistic gameplay.

One thing about the crash dive thing is that the sequence started even if I am on the bridge. I don't like it only working when I have gone down the hatch.

I end up madly tapping the "c" key, and wondering why I am not hearing "alarm!" as I run to the hatch. It catches me every time

Install this mod then you can teleport down into the sub and crash dive yourself instantly.

I also remember with SH3 one of the biggest crys was for a sub you could walk around on.

I will take the devs side here....they give us what a lot asked for, even if it is somewhat buggy, and hear nothing but grief.

That doesnt excuse them or Ubi from trying to implement so much that they didnt have time for a through beta test though.
