Very first patrol out of Lorient, I went at flank speed straight into the seawall
Suffice to say, that career was well and truly over....

I did that on my first patrol, too!

Ever run at flank speed and attract your own homing torpedo? I did. Sped right along thinking everything was honkey-dorey and all of a sudden *KA-BLAMMO*! Lost the engine compartment and had no way to RTB.

OTOH, if you play it just right you can use your own engine noise to guide those homing eels back toward their intended target. Nailed a pesky destroyer that way once.

You can get to the subsim stor via the quick links tab at the top bar; where the user CP and downloads butons are.
