There are two pictures of the watchman, one for your crew choice, and one for the scope view. You need to change both of them.

But that makes no sense, becouse I only replaced "one" watchman picture, which is now showing both in the crew "and" in the scope.

And I replaced a xo picture which now only shows in the crew..

And this problem is also with the original pictures..

Another Method to change it is from within The Menu Editor. If you go to the Page XO_TDC_Dialog you can edit the [Bt] Crew to point at whatever graphic you want.

thanks for the tip.
It was set to watchman.dds while it should be xo.dds, but when I change and save it and then start the game I still get the watchman picture...
When I then open the menu editor again the Bt first shows the watchman but as soon as i click on it, it changes to the xo? lol whats going on?

But one small sidenote:

Chief engineer and XO are the same only with/without beard.
XO should be torpedoman.
And your Cook is in the movie the bosun .

just my 2 cents to this really long waited mod, keep on doing a fantastic work !

Thera are different states that graphics can be in. There is an item material selection button that allows you to switch between the states, there cen be upto 8 different states eg, mouseover clicked, selected etc.
I usually only do 2 states repeating every second one.
That means I do 1 for a mouseover and one for standard and do them in this order 2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1.
But if you want you can do all 8 states with the same pic if you don't want it to change.

Seems to be only 4 states in this case though..

Anyway, many thanks for your helpful tips, I added a fix for this problem at the top of this thread.

with the fix the XO now shows the correct picture, instead of the watch officer picture:

The original mod for SH3 had more than one version and I'm now making one for SH5 as well.
But it won't be intended to give the crew the pics of the das boot crew on those same possitions.
The second version will have the same pictures but moved arround a bit, so the pictures will look a bit more like the 3d crew in the sub.
example:
Current chief engineer picture will become the motor officer picture, because the man in the picture has a beard just like the motor officer in the sub has.
The XO will be the new chief engineer..

Yes that one only had 4 states, other have up to 8.
You can create a mouseover using state 2 which is different from state 1:
:- eg. here's my xoselect from a Mod I have WIP



First part of Pic is selected for state 1 and 3 (Not Selected State)
second crop is for state 2 and 4 (Mouseover State).
