[REQ] British U class submarine

Has anyone managed to get the British U class sub playable yet?

It would be cool to take that little boat out for a spin.

If you really look at the files involved?
You'll see it's not anywhere near Player ready.
Being as Gr2 files are involved also puts people off at this date.
Which is Bull Hockey!

I've already pointed out to TheDarkWraith that 3D things can be added.
AKA his Flags Mod and such.
How much more do you want me to point out?

Think out side the box!

Hi guys! i just sunk such a sub the other day.. never knew what i was except it was a sub and not friendly :P it was a lucky shot thou. he spotted me when i spotted him and we both dived.. i used the hydrophone for a direction and he was running straight towards me and when he was about 400m away he turned 90 degrees and i fired 3 torpedoes on a spread angle to the front of him and then i just had to check it all with the external view and it was pretty fun.. the first 2 missed but the last one hit him in the damn propeller :P his ass flew up and crossed the surface before taking one hell of a dive down straight into the bottom :P his death felt a bit unrealistic but it was fun anyways

Thanks for letting me know what i sunk

One or the other in SH3 - always surfaced or always submerged
Not come across one yet tho would help if I played for a change

Just met one off the Northwest cost of England. Put one torp into him and then 5 deckgun rounds before he went down. No credit for sinking him though, so I will probably pass in the future.

re playing as a Brit sub, how would the game mechanics handle you changing sides? like, would a KM destroyer attack you? would the luftwaffe attack, could you cruise into portsmouth for a well earned ale in the local pub?

interesting if it could be done?

I actually got a kill credit.. i think it said submarine and around 800 tons or so. so nothing special about it.

Anyway im new to visiting forums for these games but i've been around since silenthunter 2 but started to play for real with sh4. Must say im very dissapointed with sh5 but hopefully some patches will sort some issues but what im mostly looking forward to is more mods! Ive been a great fan of Operation Flashpoint, ARMA1 and ARMA2 where i also was a modder for some time and i know what the community and its addons can do for a game

Didnt think that SH had such a nice community thou! feels great to have found my way home hehe

Havent tried SH5 in MP yet thou.. but there will be a first time for everything...
