I dont have a laptop, but on my old computer at our cottage, I have been able to get SH5 to run using my blackberry as a modem and using the wireless network. The signal out there is faint, but SH5 does not appear to need a strong connection to work.

You can do that? Use your blackberry as a modem?

Please... send a link or some info, thats awesome!

you get a software cd with your blackberry and a USB cable to plug it into your comp. On the cd is a program called "desktop manager" I believe.

When you open the program and the Blackberry is plugged in, you get several options, one of which is to connect to the internet by using your Blackberry as a IP modem. Its very easy to figure out.

It works fairly well, you can surf the net, but downloading/uploading large files is not really practical.

Is either one of these better? what about for gaming?

many thanks on any insight you could share

Thats how I play it...I first tried it with Vm Fusion, but the graphics were crappy...I then used Bootcamp (Come with apple computers), loaded WinDoze (XP) on it..and play SH5, 4 and 3 ....No probs at all...(I also have it loaded on my Mac Pro desktop with a bigger monitor, which I prefer...) Works great for me, especially the sycn games, so I go where I left off no matter what puter Im on...
If you want help with the specifics lemme know...We'll get it going for ya...
