Default Reown Edit (No Cheat just add a bit more points)

Hi All..

I am using the GWX mod and I want to add a bit more reown for the ships I sink. NO I dont want to edit my patrol file I just think that getting 40pts is not enough.

I would like to increase the reown to a more substansial number and still keep the game in balance

renown is based on your realism setting. the higher the realism the higher the renown. just FYI

Editing your renown is cheating.

So I'm a cheat.

I've always hated that silly system, your back from patrol and points mean prizes or renown means upgrades.

To change the renown you will have to go to (example based on Bismarck in GWX3.0):

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\GWX3.0\data\Sea\NBB_Bismark

Then open the ships CFG file.

Couldn't you just tinker with the realism settings so that whatever options you've chosen add up to 100%? I'd think that would be easier than editing all the individual ships' config files.

You could....and I have posted the means of doing so in the past....but I think some people prefer to see big numbers...such is their choice.

Default Cheating??? I think Not

Hi

Just wanna get this straight.

I dont think I am cheating.... Meaning I play on about a 50% Diff level.
I like to see my sub and I dont want to manually Calc my Torps Which I would prob loose every mission if I did. I'm the commander! I have crew that target and set the Torps.

by increasing the reown I'll get as much Reown as anyone playing at 100% diff....
While at the same time making this an enjoyable game at my diff level.

Yeah I think that you should get equal renown for all realism settings. I played on around 90% before but just turned off the external cam to make it 100%. I sure hope I get more renown because now I cant even see the crest on my boat, or take good screenshots

You do realize they they are perfect and never miss? It would be more realistic if they did once in awhile.

Hi

Hrmmmm... Dont wanna burst your bubble.... But They miss and miss a lot.
Are there demotions for this type of thing? Any ways I think the amount of reown should be the same for any lv of play. Wonder if some one could make a mod for this?? any takers?

I do agree that if the ship does not change course or speed they'll prob hit every time. But I'd prob hit every time as well as any one else. but yes I have seen them miss on such a simple hit, I think anyway.

How about a MOd that has same reown on any lv? can this be done?
