Using the 1-2-3 system? if so it really is just a case if lining up the dots.... (from your boat to their sailing trajectory.) what i have noticed, is that putting your fish in the water strait on lets say the 3 and 3 dots (or any of the numbers) will score either "just" a bow hit or if you were a little hasty and shot infront of the dot a just miss of the bow.....
hope this helps, it's hard for long range shots but im able to pull the off now with approximate calculation in my mind as long as the ships don't deviate from coarse, actually gives a bit of tension....

I was having a hard time with the connect the dots thing also, but then I read the thread of auto targeting made easy (don't know where it is now).
Basically, you get within 5km, lock the target, then unlock the target by hitting the space bar again. Then point the scope where you want to hit the ship and fire. Single mode only by the way, but you can fire multiple tubes with one lock. |

Hi All,
Managed to figure it out. Stupid connect the dots system. So simple I didn't even think of it. God knows why they implemented this silly system! I might give manual TDC a go later on, and see how I get along with it. |
