"...this is the way SH5 was intended to be (within reason)."

"within reason" being the operant term here. SH5 is simply a half-baked, pathetic effort that, by no stretch of the imagination is, "within reason!" Note how successive versions are getting buggier and buggier. SH3 - buggy, SH4 - buggier still, SH5 - Ubi decides we'll pay anyway and decides to take our money and let their, "unpaid development staff" (a.k.a. "modders") do what they should've done.

"Modders" used to, and still do, make the game more fun, interesting, and, if you'd like, more realistic. Now quite apparently Ubi expects them to do THEIR primary development work as well!

You know, I made a post that was not much different than this except I compared the game as all the sh series as scale model kits. All the parts are there, you just have to do the assembly and if necessary kit bashing to get what you desire.

I got ripped into for that.

I looked for it on amazon.com and amazon.de a few months ago - found it at amazon.de but only as a Region 2 DVD. I've got an all-region player but sadly English subtitles weren't listed as a feature.

If it ever comes out with 'em though, it's definitely going on my Wish List. There's no way I could resist a Das Boot parody.

Agreed. Looks like it could be a hoot.
