set speed at 8 knots, then check your max range at current speed. Note it down. Then increase speed by 1 knot, each time checking your max range at current speed. After doing this for a while you'll notice different max distances for each speed, pick the one that gets you the furthest. (Type VIIB is 8knots)
I think a IXB is between 10-12
