i experienced some spectacular storms with loads of rain in SH5. However, I'd say the rain is too large grained, and looks more like hail or sleet.

Default rain

I had sunny weather, rain, fog, heavy fog with rain and rain outside my house while playing SH5. The only thing is: I like TMO for SH4 and THAT I can only find in SH4.

The rain in SH5 looks nice though.

Next time it rains I will take one for you. I dont normally bother with screenies in rain as my machine is fairly low spec for this game and runs slow in the rain (I tend to hide in the conning tower lol)

With pleasure

Here's the aforementioned day when I had rain on a sunny, clear day, following the load of a saved game...

Thanks a bunch mate! Wow, that looks a bit... well, dumb. Looking forward to better weather scripting. I'm looking at this on my laptop with at tiny screen (running SH5 on the desktop ) so not sure if it's the best representation, but I don't think it the rain itself looks too bad.

I like how you hide in the conning tower when it rains. Wonder what the men think of that

The rain looks about the same as it did in SH3, to be honest. Not a bad representation, but not the best. I played the demo of Heavy Rain on a PS3 the other day and that is far superior. But then you'd expect so since it's one of the key aspects of the game's atmosphere. Then again, SH5 is very much about water as well, so hmm...

EDIT:

Ah, that wouldn't surprise me. I've noticed that the weather tends to reset on loading up a saved game, but within a short time (after one burst of TC, for example) it will change back to what it should be, i.e. what it was when you saved the game.

Will try that if I see it again, thanks!

No problem, it seems to do the trick: reverting back to pre-save weather as you mentioned.

Rain during a sunny day is not unrealistic - they are called sunshowers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunshower

No rainbows that I've seen though....LOL

I've had some very nasty storms hit me in the dead of night with 15km winds in SH5. My damn crew won't get on the deck gun either because waves are so high (happens without rain also, I know).

The problem with that screenshot is that there doesn't seem to be any rain clouds. So it ain't no sunshower, it's a bug.
