Do you get to see the navmap at the start of a mission? Does it also crash then? Or does this only happen when you press the f5 button/navmap icon?
I've never heard of this before. Just some wild thought I have. Are you able to look at 3d views of other stations? Maybe the 3d window is the cause of the bug. If so, try disabling 3d view in the config settings. For me it helped tremendously getting rid of annoying stuttering sound.
