Please tell me it gets harder...

I have been attacked by escorts nearly every time i have attacked a convoy they have been most of the time verry good i even have been shot at from long range at night and on my first patrol i was hunted by 7 destroyers for 8 hours with some of them working in pairs to cut off my ascape rout to the open sea

so i am thinking to that it may be a problem with the digital download game as apposed to the DVD version of the game which mine is, i offten read of problems with the destroyer A.I and think to my self are they playing a diffrent game to me as i have no such problems ?
