While Contact is sufaced they already do that. But now they will continue AK when you crash dive or even when they detect you above 800 Range while you are submerged. It only works for 'Ship Operation Follow' and Escorts that have a weight > 1000 kg for now.
1. What the "AK" is?
2. Are your sure about escort weight >1000 kg? My car have 1500kg...
Maybe do you mind "1000 BRT" ?

Default Scripted activity

Gandalfi--Apologies for directing this query at you but you seen the best qualified to notice. Have you come across in your script delvings any Escort/DD script the effect of which would be to get an escort/DD to simply shadow a Uboat keeping station with it at 10 Kilometres at a speed of about 14 knots for very long distances but never approaching or attacking.
This has happened to me twice in the last week and several others report similar bizarre behaviour.
It would be very helpful if this form of pointless Escort/DD behaviour could be terminated or better still modified to contain a credible point and purpose.
The pointless and rediculous nature of this particular behaviour can be illustrated by the fact that because the escort doggedly keeps station with you and does nothing else ,you can eventually navigate close to land in such a way that the Escort will crash into the land and wreck .
It would certainly contribute to game immersiveness and belief if this particular form of script (if that is what it is) could be eliminated/modified.
My apologies again and thanks in advance for any insights you have on this.

May i help with the first question?

AK means "flank speed".

It is a shortcut for the german command "Äußerste Kraft" => flank speed!

New AI tactics for you: here few IIWW antisubmarine tactics was found like:
- Operation Plaster
- Beta Search
- Pineapple
- Raspberry
- Creeping Attack

Gandalfi this is a very interesting mod, and esential to game play, the current ai are dumbed down and their reactions are not realistic, im watching this thread, have downloaded your mod and checking it out, any improvement and realistic step forward is great, thanks for the work mate.

Once spotted, I mean once your sub enters the gray circle of a DD, It now V-lines for you.
It circles the last spot it saw you and then moves on to the place you should be at if you kept the heading you had when it saw you last.
The one that saw me also called in back up from Dover. They kept me pinned for about 12 hours, almost making me come up for air.
When I did finally have to come up, sonar shown that I was alone. I slowly came up from 70 meters, stopping at periscope depth just to make sure that I was alone.
Well, I wasn't. One had stayed behind at full stop, just waiting for me. Being empty, and out of battery from maneuvers to avoid depth charges,
I had to surface or suffocate.
I died, in a glorious shoot out.
This mod as is....is a keeper !
I say...the DD's now have a brain, and it is working very well.

Sgtmonkeynads that sounds pretty good, looks like the AI have left school and gone to play in the grown ups world now. Juat going to check it out tonight.
