Especially the ending bit on page 2.
When someone recommends a previous game in the series (SH4) or a movie (Das Boot) as a better choice than SH5, it gives a big impression that there is something horribly wrong with SH5.

Back the the subject of SH5 apparently being poor in its stock form...

I wonder if SH5 is working just as Ubisoft planned...
It's part of an odd theory.
That they are going to do with SH5 what they did with SH4 (release as buggy, not patch much, just enough to keep people interested, make a final patch only be part of an expansion that adds a lot of stuff and 'expands' the game, and then drop support in general after they get their second surge of income... or something like that, all while the Devs cry at what is being done or not allowed to be done with their work.)

Anyways, back on topic... again...
Even if only half the stuff from the OP are correct, it is still a few to many down sides for my tastes.

Looks like I am still sticking with SH3/SH4 for now. (to heck with graphics and eye-candy. I think I would prefer my old DOS, SNES and Sega Genesis games rather than try SH5 at this point... or worse, dig out Submarine Titans...)
