but how come the file is so much smaller than the Type VII ones?

With the VIIc i had to include the dats for multiple towers and multiple versions of the hull dat file containing the correct shadows for each tower type, all together it added up a larger filesize.

In contrast the IIa has just the one tower/hull combination.

For the same reason im going to do the IId and XXI next as its much simpler than having to deal with all those tower variations of the typeIXs!

The reflection of tower in water is very dark/black - is it normal?

Might be an indication of an ID problem with the reflection models, i`ll take a look
