Hummingbirds are probably one of the coolest in the bird world. Seeing a hummingbird in person as it's wings beat the air in a stationary fashion is a incredible sight to behold. If you are not aware of the bird it sounds like a darn big bee or fly is near you.

There common as dirt here in florida we always put feeders out in the summer for them as they stock up for their yearly trip to Mexico.

We hang them from trees and other in accessable locations to discourage the predators (cats).

Theres also a video of Mantis vs Mouse on you tube and yes the mouse loses.

The hummingbirds are few and far between around my house. I planted some wild flowers one summer and the little bugger showed up. My wife put a feeder out back last summer but none have shown that I recall.

Had a Praying Mantis in the top of are gazebo last summer.
The wife goes what is that leaf doing up there. She sure got the shock of her life.
When she went to pull it out of the roof.
Then Muggins here had to remove it, which proved to be a right ball ache.
