Came across some code refering to the KM grid. Not sure how they were planning on implementing it, but seems it's one of many features they just couldn't finish before release.
![]() If I'm interpreting it correctly, that is. Have a look in "data\Menu\KGrid", just some text files and a graphics file. And yes, I kinda miss it. At least the map on the table in the control room is correct. ![]()

Maybe they couldnt add it in as the system they used for SH4UBM was square grids and a lot of those in the North Atlantic area - esp coastal - are not square There is a reference to the KGrid in one of the scripts so it was in the devs minds Yes is a must IMHO The way SH5 is campaign mission wise now can be altered to use the grids as was the case in RL And we all know sooner or later the SH5 mission system will be rewritten or added to so yeah give us the grid ![]() |
