Default Anyone out there still play Pokemon?

Picked up Heartgold yesterday (early release in Australia, love a local game shop). Just curious if anyones still playing. The series had a big influence on my childhood so its more nostalgia for me and something to do on the train into work everyday.

Still a fun game. HG and Soulsilver are remakes of Gold and Silver respectively.

Yes occasionally. Used to play sometimes on my old computer while waiting for stuff.

The other half is into Pokémon, although I think she's kind of despairing at all the new ones they keep introducing and the fact that as a series they are flogging a dead horse molecule by molecule.
However, that being said, it's nice to see the original games being remade and updated and if I were ever to get a DS, I would probably enjoy a good game of Soul Silver as Silver was my first bash at a Pokémon game, good times, my Feralligator pwnd everything it met.

I picked up Heartgold on Sunday.

I've put 13.33 hours into it,just got my 4th badge and getting ready to leave Euckreat or whatever the city is called. I mostly play while watching TV, while waiting for the bank to count my store's bank deposit, during car rides where I'm not driving, and just about any other time I'm waiting for something.

After watching me play it my girlfriend wants to start getting into it and plans on getting SoulSilver on our next paycheck.

As a side note I had restarted Pearl in preparation for Heartgold about a month ago, and have put 26 hours into it, and have only completed 3 gyms.

Hehe I had Diamond fairly early after its release here in Aus. Over 60 hours sunk into it. 8 badges. No elite 4 victory though. And then there's still the Battle Frontier after that.

HG I'm about 10 hours in, 2 badges. Whitney is my next target, and I've dealt with her before. I'm currently leveling up a Caterpie so I can get my hands on Sleep powder via Butterfree. After that, I'm going to grab a Heracross and kick Whitney's butt out of the gym.

I'm currently camped around Ecruteak trying to level my Pidgeotto, Butterfree, Togetic, Poliwag, and Bellsprout to level 30. Then I'll head to Olivine. I'm also trying to get my level 30 Pichu to evolve into a Pikachu so I can then evolve it into a Raichu.

I've had a couple encounters with the legandary dog's Entei and Raikou.

Spike have a look here. Useful info on Pokemon that evolve via Happiness.
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wi...ess#Evolutions
Happiness level of around 220 is needed for evolution.

I'm trying to get an Elekid off the pokewalker at the moment, just have to build up the steps required to get him.

Thanks for the link.

The Pokewalker is a pretty neat premise. I use it when I go for my daily walk around the lake. And sometimes while at work.
Did you get the Gamestop Jirachi? It opens up a new Pokewalker path.

Here's a list of them all(it's also the site I use for anything Pokemon related) Has an awesome pokedex.

No I missed the Gamestop Jirachi. Not a US customer, and I dont have a connection at home to jump on for the wifi events Nintendo hold.

*Edit* Just beat Whitney and her damn Miltank. Effing thing cost me 3 super potions. Thankfully Brick break and Aerial Ace took her down without much difficulty despite attract and stomp almost wiping my Heracross out.
