I get the same; if I change camera position slightly, it disappears.

Came upon a convoy today...
So I came upon a convoy just east of the British coast today, and after firing a couple torps, I realized she was completely undefended, and decided to surface and see how much damage I could do with the deck gun.
Targets in sight! A true U-96 moment, this, sans full moon and destroyers! Oh, and the U-96 had all her torpedoes left. I fire off my last torp and start to pelt ships with my 88mm. The electric torpedo runs out of juice before hitting anything, but my deck gun crew is in full swing, expertly firing their weapon with devastating results. Then, something incredible happens. The convoy disperses! You never saw this happen in SHIII! I've taken some machine gun fire from one of the ships and don't want to risk any further damage, so I go after the lone straggler in the south. The hunt is on. Soon 88mm shells pelt the ship, setting off a catastrophic fire. We keep hitting her, and she soon slips beneath the waves. As we break off an head for home, two British aircraft appear. Too little, too late. We return to dock and reap our rewards for the heroic attack.
