How did you add torps? Did you add entried in the .sim file under storage? Oh, and btw, I can't download it. Just curious what you edited there.

I am curious to what files you edited. I have been trying to figure this out for sometime now. My nephew (12yrs old) loves sub games, but, unlike me, doesn't like to play with all the realism, and just wants to have fun hunting and torpedoeing ships. I admit, that once I finish the campain, I will probably give this a try, myself.
I have only been able to change the special abilities to add speed to the sub and instant reloading for him.

Is that just download the file and replace them with the old one and the mod will function? Thanks!

I used goblin editor to add storage space i made an idiots guide here on how to use it http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...0&postcount=28
after you do that you just open a submarine folder, open the .gr2 file with subs name, then merge the sim file. the storage is under wpn_torpedosys i believe.

Thanks lorka42. Your reply was helpful. And although I found Indietro's post amusing, it was not as helpful.

you should extract to MODS folder and use jgsme if youre not, but basically, yeah. you do, however, need to start a new career to get it to show up in career mode, I believe.

Thanks man. Can you do all the subs, so they can be played in campaign and historic missions?

Yeah, Blue, been working on a slient-fire type of thing, until some annoying hardcoded stuff is patched out.

Lorka, your work is top quality, and thanks for doing it. Have you managed to find the time to do a modding guide with the goblin editor. I would like to learn how to mod the sub & ships.

Many Thanks

Oh my god. Even if I seem to be a bit narrow-minded. You are ruining the game for me. I just cannot play this game or visit these forums, knowing that there are mods for casual arcade-style gamers. As you might have noticed, I looooove realism, and everyone who does not share my opinion does not deserve to play this game. This game is for realism only. Don't you dare to release a mod like this again, or I will sue you. And I will call Ubisoft and they will ban your account for having fun with a game you bought. You know nothing about subs. I do! You don't. Therefore, you ahould listen to what I say: This is sooo unrealistic. I tried it out myself, I just didn't think that someone could be so stupid as to be specific and warn people that this mod is unrealistic. You fooled me! Shame on you! You ruined my day.

regards,
someone who loves realism more than fun.

PS.: Want realism? Don't shower and shave for three weeks, set up your rig in the bathroom and leave the lights out. Play the Game. Have fun.

PPS.: @Lorka: Nice one!
