Thanks never noticed that, is it introducing much of a delay in the torps being relased.

Yes this is a biggie in the use of the standimeter also placement of the standimeter is in consistent between class types, some seem to be the funnel others the mast.
At this stange I'm using the compass to get distances manually.
But i take hope that one day things will work the way they should, just hope its not years down the road.

Will probably wait till after the next patch before i do anything. I'd rather not have a video showing "work-arounds" for issues (.ie stadimeter screwing the AOB).

Thanks a lot Gutted--learned something new, and I needed it desperately! My problem is coming from SHIV, and being able to ping for range. Now I make sure my fish doesn't need to turn, and can just wait for that puppy to cross my crosshairs and LOS!

Also--excellent pedagogy--my kind of teaching/learning. Show the student how the TDC works, fundamentally, so that they can take that knowledge to ANY situation they might find themselves in. Great work--

Just dont box yourself into relying on that one method. There will be times when you need it to turn. Or can't wait for him to cross your scope. If you have the time, and can get close.. then by all means get close and wait for the best shot. But dont limit yourself to that.

It will be more clear when they patch it and i make the next videos.

Target Speed

JUst thought of an easy way to determine target speed, Set your own Sub to say 5 knots - then mark it on the map and draw a line out to 500 meters. time how long it takes your sub to travel 500 meters, this info can be used to determine another ships speed in relation to your own.

Cheers

Your audio is overloaded. Load up your mixer software and turn down the gain on your microphone. It is better to be on the quiet side, since people can always turn up the volume knob, but overloaded audio can't be fixed by turning the volume down. Just a tip for the next time you make a video.

Need Speed Video NAO!

Nice vids, reinforced a lot of things we should already know and shouldn't be afraid to use. I especially loved that Fast 90 attack done by eye.

Clicking the links takes me to Youtube only to be told the videos have been removed by the user. Any updates on this?
