Hi evan82,
thanks for the data. As I understand it the 30kn/5000m were for preheated torps. The question is from when the torps were preheated? From the beginning of the war? And how did it work? I could not find any clear answer on these questions in the web. I hope someone has some good, reliable books about this ![]() Cheers, LGN1 |

Hi, try looking over at www.uboataces.com They have some info there. It seems they had internal heaters that heated the batteries to 86 degrees prior to fireing.
