High time compression crashes and you

Yes, when I am sailing into port I stay on the bridge for visual and max TC is 32x. With Map Contacts OFF, there are no icons for friendlies either, so being your own harbor pilot is a must. That's ok, I accept that, actually prefer it that way. I'm not talking about problems close to ports where there is known traffic. I mean in the middle of the North Sea, where it is possible I may sail 2 days without a contact, or meet a random encounter with a ship or convoy (that is the great part of a dynamic campaign)... there I use 1024x TC. And far too often, as Para described, I go from sailing along to CRASH!-- death cam. This is a real major issue, not an incidental bug I can play around. The game should always drop the player out of high TC before the encounter is so close it is instantly fatal.

Yeah, you have a problem. I play 100% and in the open sea any chance encounter I'm dropped to X32. It does not matter if a friend or foe. I'm dropped out of TC to X32. Often I can not even see the vessel. I have to use the hydrophone to find it.
