SH5 is an absolute failure and I am/will be getting my CASH back for this massive mistake. It reminds me of what happened to Far Cry; UBI and DEV team butchered it and turned it into console crap. Add this dumb DRM to SH5 and it's a pure failure--how in the world could Neal Stevens NOT see this in his PREVIEW? Somebody, please tell me? How could the "so called expert" of submarine simulation not see that SH5 is a total abortion and software derailment of what was/should be expected in the NEXT installment of this great title
So, your first post here bashes the guy who runs the site? Why bother?

Welcome aboard... I think. Let me show you the engine room... just let me grab my duct tape first. I, uh, need it for something back there.

I trusted Neals judgement and BOUGHT the GAME--I feel betrayed--that's WHY; get a clue! All the other gaming sites don't give this title more than a 5! Now I completely understand why.

SubSim hasn't reviewed SH5 yet.

my review can be sumed up in one sentence "This POS is a floater in the toilet of PC simulatons and should be flushed with all due haste."

side note........ yes I have played it, and no, it does not deserve to take up space on my friends hard drive. IMO.

On my PS3 it would be tolerable. but it is an insult to my intelligence that UBI would try to pass this POS off as a SIMULATION.

yeah I know I spelt some words wrong......sue me.

You can't trust an opinion from someone that must push the good aspects of the game

1) Did you ready anything in Neal's post?

2) Have you read any of Neal's reviews for SH2, 3, 4 and PT Boats

3) If the answer to 1) or 2) is yes, why would you say something like that?

4) Would you come into someone's house as a guest and insult them in that manner?

Good Heavens, man.

what makes you say that?

when has he written a review or preview that was false or misleading?

what facts do you have to back up your accusations?

This person can have there opinion just like everyone else.
I find it odd that those of us who like the game manage to follow rules, while the people who dislike it think they each need their own thread to state their opinions on the game.

I mean, seriously, how many different ways can you say "the game is buggy and arcade-ish and I hate DRM"?

Blind as a bat with no familiar controls, and running around the tin can with the W, A, S, D keys like a first person shooter, no, I don't see the fun in it. There was a CUT SCENE when I started the campaign--what the hell is this? Am I at the movies or is this just a bad dream? I bought this game to be in control of a uboat and I HAVE NO CONTROL!
UBI made it public months ago that there would be no player control in this version. At least that was my understanding, from what I've read.
Yes, the fact that you can't control the submarine has been known for an eternity, where have you been?

But trust me, it picks up. Just wait 'til the bosun gets murdered on the way to Scapa Flow, though. You'll never guess who the killer is.

Er, what? I visited Metacritic to check your claim out, and while they have only 3 reviews in so far, the scores are 80, 60 and 50. Only 63 on average, but far better than your "all 5/10" claim.
