I get the enemy ship "shadowing" me every patrol, matches course and speed but usually just 1 destroyer. You can't get close to it, so I always make them crash into land. Had it happen 4 times while patrolling off Norway I think. Minutes after I had run one aground, another took its place. Really annoying, as is the magical people underwater.

Interesting review But i'm noticed on screenshots that at 1940 only one mission is completed. It looks like the game has permanent online disconnection Maybe strange behavior of ships lies beyond crack of game?
