Yeah I snuck into Scapa Flow and sank HMS Nelson and HMS Hood and the destroyers just kept going round their normal search patterns. I would have expected them to go mad once the first torps hit but they didn't even come and look for me. Kind of disappointing really not much tension shooting fish in a barrel.
The AI scripting obviously needs major work to make it react to your actions more sensibly. |

By the way do we know for sure if a sunk capital ship won't reappear later in the war?
For example I managed to sink the Nelson, the Royal Sovereign and the Kent (heavy cruiser). Will their sinkings have any consequences on the future of the british navy? On the other hand, I could not complete the blockade over Germany mission (haven't found the carrier...), anyone has been far enough to see the consequences?? |

Interesting question, important for the dynamic nature of the campaign.
Say, if you managed to sink Ark Royal, Prince of Wales and Rodney (or just two of them) in 1940/41, would that make "saving the Bismarck" obsolete? Would Bismarck participate in the 1942/43 Atlantic campaigns if she survived?
