Poll: Who is managing to play tonight?

I can't play, it's 15:57PM PST. ********n UBI; they better to remove this DRM crap out of this game otherwise I'm returning it to amazon as defective; I have 30 days I belive to return; what good is a moddable game if I can't get on. I don't care about $50, but from the ********n principle I'll send it back to them

BTW, I called UBI tech support right now at 16:15PM PST and spoke with rep, he told me that the servers are right now attacked by "russian hackers" and they should be up again tomorrow morning. He also said that their last game turned out only 8% of paying customers, so that's why this crap....

Just for info, I often see the screen above when loading up a saved game, even though the connection is good. Clicking "OK" dumps me back to the menu, of course, but if I press the "Esc" key, it goes away and the game continues. I think the heavy CPU usage during initialisation of the game causes a brief 'hang' which makes the Ubisoft 'all-seeing-eye' DRM think the network has stopped responding.

Thought it worth posting in case it helps others.

Of course, if that screen pops up during play, it's a different matter entirely.

All is well with mine, and has been since I bought it on saturday the 6th.
Run it tonite(the 8th) for a couple hours, again no problems what so ever.

And it all take only seconds on startup.

No issues here connecting since release day.
I really do hope that they fix it ASAP for those that are having issues

It is a shame so many people are having connection issues.

I got in and played for a couple hours but after exiting got an error about not being able to upload the save. So now I can't move to play on my other computer until that one saves or I will probably end up losing the latest saves or totally borking all my saves.

This has to be the worst decision in PC gaming history, if not PC history.

Been in now for the past hour. Took the launcher a good 10mins to load, but all seems well. The leaderboard is missing/inaccessible in-game from my end though....

Uhhh yeah I forgot to mention the launcher update on mine also this evening, it all happened so fast I hardly saw it.

Well just to see something this morning I started the sim up at about 7:30am 3-9-10 and this time got the connection failure for the first time since buying the sim.
So I geuss I been lucky so far. Well, hopefully it's a server issue and not anything with my connection, and this must be the case as Im here posting, and also went to UBI's site and into their forums fine.

Though there is one thing that may have affected things on my end perhaps, I did just this morning try to get the 196.21 video drivers over the 196.75 it was, and had to do a system restore back to the newer ones as the older one's disable my video card. I dont see how that would affect online connectivity though.
