Previews look great. I'm thinking they oviously can't cover the entire island hop campain so we'll see a few battle scenes on Sipan or some other island who knows. Eastwood already did Iwo. Looking forward to it.

I also think it's important history be remembered even though through a mini series it's still hollywood and u-571 ish.

I usually catch things on hulu if i miss them on tv, they seem to have everything one day after the show aired. If not, easy to find online with a search.

One reason I am looking forward to The Pacific is Hanks and Spielberg are at the helm as they were in Band of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan which were great and not hollywood bs.One of the few hollywood types that do not muck up war movies/shows.From my understanding they wrote the script from books like The Old Breed by Eugene Sledge.Sledge is featured as one of the main players in the show. They also based it on Robert Lecky(sp?) and John Basilone. The show will cover the entire war from what I understand.6 days.I rarely look forward to a tv show but am looking forward to this one.
