Did you have the new 196.75 Nvidia drivers installed because they have been frying some PC's by causing the fan on the graphics to stop.

See alert message on left hand side of link.

There do seem to be a HUGE gap between the 5750 and the 5850, but its also twice the price

If you want something in-between, there's 5770 which I plan to get.

Got a 5770. Fantastic card for the price, (about $150) Runs everything in game maxed out, including shadows.

Hi,
if you have one of the 9xxx series Nvidia chip cards, beware of the latest x75 drivers ! May melt your graphic card, this patch or driver version has been therefore withdrawn.
See appropriate thread not far from here ...

Greetings,
Catfish

Guess what happened to me?..

I updated my drivers for SH5 and bad company2..
My XFX 9800GT ****king died because of that!!

Bought a MSI R5770-PMD1G (ATI) last Saturday, no more Nvidia for me after what happened!

Hey! I strongly advice you to fork out the extra money for a 5850, if possible. I know you like doing videos and the extra hp will be handy.
