Depth charges in the water! (has anyone heard it?)

While fiddleing with AI detection i noticed the sonarman wasn't calling out depth charges like he does in SH3.

This lack of input from the sonarman, was an unresolved bug in SH4 that i was afraid would work its way into SH5. It appears it has. Has it? has anyone heard it? If it is bugged still, then this is a HUGE bug IMO. I'd really prefer Ubi fix this rather then have a repeat of the depth charge splash warning workaround that was used in SH4.

You dont really expect them to fix problems in SH4 in SH5 do you

Rather create a whole new set of problems.

Ive got 2 choices for my savegames...

1) There is no crew at all and have 0 morale forever...AKA not even food helps, and they dont exist on the upgrade screen..so they will never upgrade either...

or

2) I have no deck gun, but i have a crew that can be happy at times, and does their job...but they are all mutes now....

obviously i chose 2. But my deck gun is just....gone........maybe ill be able to add another one next patrol im hoping..but there is just a hole there now with men that stand around it acting like they are manning something that doesnt exist and cant be interacted with...

Well that sounds hopeful.
I haven't heard 'em yet though, I'll keep an ear out for 'em.

Is this evidence that SH5 is built off of SH4 code or is it an assumption?

I think you are right, have not heard that either. Needs to be added, for sure.

It's not evidence. And it's actually built on SH3 engine. Just improved graphically. Old bugs are back in and they never said SH5 was a whole new code.
