Let me try to help you a little bit.
Ok you have to have that little map open a little bit. When you lock up a target the map with fill with a bunch of lines and circles. You have 3 circles coming from the ship (this is the leads you have to use to hit the target) and you have 3 circles coming from your ship that represent you periscope line of sight. Now each circle has a number. Number 1 and 2 and 3. Each number represent a Torpedo speed. (if you have electric only number 1 is shown). You have to set your torpedo speed for the numbers are closes to each other. IE number 2 with number 2. Number 3 with number 3. Number 1 with number 1. The numbers represent ranges. Your range changes with the speed setting. SO number 3 is actually the slowest torpedo and the farthest reaching one. Number 1 is the fastest. When you attack a ship the best way to attac a ship is at a 90 degree angle, when the ship passes you, your nose should be pointing at a direct 90 degree angle to the ship. This you have to set up, its called getting into fire position. Hopefully you knew this from the other SH games. Same princaple. Now to fire. You have to lead the targe. But your best bet since your at a 90 degree angle is to wait for the number to reach your periscope when you have the periscope at a 0 degrree angle. meaining your torps will fire somewhat straight. My god this sound so complicated Im sorry. LOL But line up the numbers. Say that your at Speed 3 setting. When the ship 3 Circle reaches your Periscope 3 circle fire your torpedo. YOu might want to fire a whole salvo to make sure you hit it. Fire them about 5 seconds apaart don't move the periscope though. I think I confused myself. maybe I will put up a video sometime of it. LOL. Don't turn on the TDC though. That option is manual. And requires a lot more thought then this option. Auto TDC is automatic Connect the dots circle thing. You turn on the TDC and your in manual mode and have to come up with all kinds of math and numbers.. And stuff. |

No joke, I like it easy. Not into calculating angles and solutions, I like it on auto.

Fast 90 still works.
Believe it or not it is now actually easier than auto. As long as your tubes are opening properly. |

Ok, this actually works, I just sank a tanker with 3 fish :-) I was confused as hell before what all the 1,2,3 #'s meant and the fact that you had to lead the target, didnt make sense and my crew wasnt to happy with me. Neato! Thanks.
