US Destroyers are named after distinguished USN/USMC officers & enlisted men. Normally the person is no longer living but there has been exceptions to that.
If you got the hull from Delfship.com and combines the superstructure of an Arleigh Burke why not name it the Delf Burke or the Arleigh Delf |
