Reeeeeally would've preferred an opening phrase other than "last week I was hit by a car."

Seriously, glad you're okay and got the laptop replaced. Still sucks to find that along with the fun of a new computer comes the realization that some old reliable personal favorite bit of software no longer works for you. Hope you can find something that makes for a nice replacement.
