I hate Amazon more than I hate DRM. My promise still stands. If I buy this game I won't be using the Subsim Amazon link, but I will make another donation to this site.

I have just been screwed too many times by Amazon.

Here's your answer- Sheeple.. plain and simple. Society these days is full of people who cannot, or will not think for themselves.

Default Problem.

Are you guys figthing with same fury against Settlers 7?

Released soon with same DRM system.

My problem, as I said earlier, and here is the real problem; I must see/play this 100 % myself and a f t e r testing with Settlers 7 there was no problems so far, BUT my really real problem is that when I buy something I want to own it, not you or mr. Ubisoft, I want to own it and decide over it.
Now, if there is 200 other games released with this and only 3 - 4 get a huge support against and the rest goes through, it feels like this good ol' saying: Stay close to your friend but closer to your enemy.

What do I now mean by this: Shut down support against Ubisofts website's, t h i n g s that really h u r t them, shut down ALL interest in any game they release and buy nada/nothing/inget/finitzski, no matter what in the name of DRM.

Meaning simple and easy: When you see the name Ubisoft: Don't buy.
That's how real boycott works, otherwise it is futile.........

...forgot Good ol' SH2 days....

Lemme see.... a decided minority who, in the face of constant insult and ridicule, decide to buy the game are sheep... and the ones banding with the majority in a drum-beating mass movement demanding conformity are the free thinkers. Makes perfect sense to me.

And so good sir, unashamed, I stand before you in my woolly coat, and proudly proclaim in your general direction, "Baaaa!"

And then there's the type who insult and belittle people who don't have exactly the same feelings on a particular subject as they do. Got a name for them too?

My purchase decision is mine and mine alone. And if you don't like it, you can kiss my grits. When you start making my money for me, then you can dictate what I do with it. But until you do, you've got no right, pal.

It's called "the herd of independent minds."

Jeebus.. this went downhill rather quick.

Some people don't like the OSP, that's cool. I do not like it either. I probably wont buy the game for quite some time. But there is no need to start pissing at peoples leg who make the decision for themselves. Quite the opposite I would say.

I applaud the ones who are going to buy it for whatever reason. Hell, I am even a bit jealous. But, admit it or not, the insight that they will give and their critique will be ultimately play a part if we are going to buy it or not. So, rather then being an asswipe, be grateful, because they are, more or less biting the bullet for those of us who want to wait.
IMHO, of course.

Or maybe its time people stop posting off topic. Would solve bunches, don't you think?

Finally, a wise man!

I respect your position cause you're obviously not a radical..

I'm neither a radical defending Ubi..

Ok, sorry for being off-topic.

Gosh! You are right. As soon as my computer does my finger print and retina scan finding it is not me I'm screwed! UBI sends a program that makes my hard drive melt, my RAM fizzles and the disc in the drive is spun so fast it shatters! My family is killed the next day, my car is stolen and the dog is knocked up. All of this for $49.99! Does not seem fair now does it

That is a shame. I have not had an issue with Amazon. I use it all the time. I do use the merchants that have good ratings. I think that helps in some cases.
