It wouldn't be that hard to simulate right now. Since you wouldn't be able to see anything the captain does, you can have pretty much anything you want on your screen. Every so often, I'll send you text messages like 'ahead two thirds' or 'steer 35 degrees'. Then you hit the appropriate key on your keyboard. If you want to be the torpedo man, it'll be much the same, except I'll message you much less often.

![]() Imagine the stations to multi-play: sound/radio, engines, torpedoes, sub control (diving and steering), ballast control, and watches. All those duties that have lots of details to micromanage. And above all, the captain coordinating everything. I can tell you now, it'd be a blast. Much more than having the MP full human wolfpacks, which has gotten too old now, it's not as fun as it used to. ![]() Cheers |
