Guys I seem to be haveing some problems, and they seem to have started since the latest patch. It has to do with game saves. First off, the layout: RFB2.0, RFB latest patch. RSRD for RFB, plus RSRD patch.
I started a new campaign for Subpac in April/42. The sub is Tambor. My patrol area is the East China Sea. I start the patrol outside the harbor, and it's 12:00. Setting a course for Midway to top off my fuel, I TC (128x) at standard speed until appx. 17:55. At this time the sun sets, and the screen turns red for night. I save the game. Upon reloading, the game starts in broad daylight, although the clock still reads the presaved time (17:55), and my course lines are erased from the map. It's as though I'm starting outside Pearl again. I completely reinstalled the game, and 1.5 patch takeing care to defrag / reboot, and deleat old folders along the way. So this is a new install. Like I said, I never had a problem with a save in the past. I'm totally baffeled by this one. Any ideas? Thanks for your help. |

I have had that happen while hosing a saved game by imprudent use of JSGME.
Looks like that is not your problem. Will try your sub and date tonight. I am overdue for a patrol with RFB 2.0. More later. Happy Hunting!

Thanks Wilcke. I decided to try one of the "War Patrols" I was in the South China Sea, 1944 Balao class. Played awhile, saved, reloaded the save, seemed OK. Resumed exactly where I left off. Don't know why the campaign is causing trouble ![]() |

Are you using JGME? I just did a clean install and I am having no issues what so ever. Map contacts are there just as they should be. Maybe you should do the same.
How does your mod install order look like? |

So there is no way to get manual targeting, WITH map contacts??
as in, I want my sonar guy to show me on the map where the ships are with the typical lines. |

You need this
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=1470 It restores the hydrophone bearing lines to RFB

That is the way it shows up in RFB 2.0, I'm afraid. AFAIK, the only way to go back to the stock behavior is to uninstal the mod.

I was wondering about two things: First, the DD's still seem to pitch and roll a bit much. Second: inertia and drift. I find that it takes a lot more mucking about with the engines to get my sub to stop moving. That, and stationary objects (targets) now drift along with the waves.
