Why do you let them affect you so much, and the game? It is only a game after all. There are far important things to worry about in life.

I take such things quite personal.

And since i am a "nolife", respectively Games "are" my life, however pathetic that sounds, my reaction is defnitely okay i would say.

Ones freedom ends where the others freedom begins, they say.
OP defnitely crossed the line.
hmmm, let me see: earthquake in Haiti, famine in the Sudan, war in Afghanistan, terrorism in Iraq, Global Warming, entire species becoming extinct, etc., etc.,...but what makes you really upset is that Ubi won't let you buy a $50 game w/o Uplay?

whatever man... I guess we'll let the mods figure this one out..

You may not know this but one of the missions of this website and forum is to maintain a civil and mature tone.

i was about ready to start giving out infractions all around but where to start and where would i stop?

once i started i can see people who would get enough to equal a ban but what purpose would that serve?

why dont we all leave things as they are, you have all said your peace (some in too blunt a fashion) and we can now move on without further insults or rude actions.

everyone is entitled to an opinion no matter how unpopular it might be but you must express yourself in a non insulting adult manner please.

I am enjoying this thread.

But men please, be realistic. Sh3 and Sh4 weren`t also perfect at release.

I think that sh5 has a great future !

Why not close this thread? IMHO it was nothing then flame bait anyways.

It should, but you're right, with DRM there are no guarantees, if the DRM tries to validate every file, or locks certain protected files, then yes, there could be issues.

Maybe there should be two sections regarding SH5 on subsim forums, Silent Hunter 5 (as an eye-candy RPG) and Silent Hunter 5 (as a submarine simulation wannabe). Or maybe "for" and "against" DRM, it seems that there are some "factions", from these perspectives. In that way maybe the atmosphere should would be more peaceful in each of the two forums taken in an individual way.

It didn`t stop me to buy this great sim.

Dissent is NOT whining. There are glaring issues with SH such as DRM and the arcadish look that will kill a great sub SIM.The so called "whining" is this great thing we call free speech. So don't try to force people to keep their concerns about upcoming SH 5 quiet.
