Since this system is going to be cracked days after it's set loose on the world, I don't see the problem if their servers go away and they never patch.

Based on the principle that there having been so much hoo ha on the issue and seeing as this is the internet, coupled with the fact there are a great many people out there who are acutely focussed on performing such actions toward any entity they perceive to be 'restrictive'.
