Dragon Age is also tagged at a very tempting price

Well it depends on the player.

Don't get me wrong. ME2 is great game. But not epic as Bioware is normally good for. Feels like EA has stepped in and cut them short. But I could be wrong.

There is alot of newer features. But some bugs too.

You can customize your suit. You only have one suit fits all classes.

helmets dont' go auto off in dialog or kissing moments.. Really bad bug.

The control's are geared to consoles and far worse than ME1 was for PC.

The game is dumbed down. Not an RPG but shooter mainly. There is elements of RPG.

I like the game. There is great moments and feel to it. Like the normandy crash site DLC. You really feel it when your there. The dead who served you faithfully. I hate having to go there.. Bad memories.

New crew is awesome. New dialog and interactions are priceless. New ship is even better.

I'm kinda divided on some issues with ME2. I had my romance with Liara and what happens after in ME2 I was kinda upset with biowares direction.

If your into old school RPG ME2 isn't that. Its a shooter. Thats all. But with ME3 coming out next year. ME1 and then ME2 helps you setup your character for ME3 journey should you survive the ME2 ending.

So I'm stuck and going to buy the game because to continue the story.. Damn them for that...

I find DAO much better RPG than ME2. But I've always like space game all the way back to Space quest..

Welp, I've bought ME1 last weekend and started playing it. I love how I've played for 3 hours and I'm still in the beginning of the game.

And I got ME2 for Valentines day.

Search the worlds carefully... There is hidden resources and loot.

Becareful of your actions in ME1 because they will effect your future...
Same will go for ME2 when ME3 comes out.

Thank you these kind of honest straight up opinions you don't get from reading or watching gamespot review. Really appreciate it.

I'm torn between Hearts of Iron 3, Mass effect 2 or Dragon Age Origins. LOL
Don't want to burn my pocket so I'm getting only one game(well actually three but the other tow are board games).

Has Bioware stated the helmet thing is a bug? I'm still inclined to say it's a feature; wear a helmet: deal with the consequences.

Controls are fine imho, whole interface is designed for PC, not console.

I find kissing and drinking odd when the helmet doesn't auto off like in ME1. Should be natural... We don't drink Mr coffee like Lord helmet shows us..

controls are worse than in ME1. I don't like the auto duck and cover system. But I have no choice in the matter so I accept it as a loss for the game. But there are alot of good features too. Which balances the game out.

Ether you like it or not depends on the player's wants in Mass effect. I'm still torn in between.

I don't understand.

In ME you go into cover automatically if you get near, iirc. In ME2 you have to press space.

Guess you're right about the helmet. Was aware of the issue, so I never wore anything but the visor to begin with.

ME2 is a great adventure, but DAO probably gives more bang for the buck.

I like ME2 Arclight I do. But I like DAO better. There is more for the PC fans. ME2 is restricting.. It is dumbed down. Bioware has admitted it in there reviews. There targeting new fans and making it more general player.

Its a more fast pace game. I'm guessing most of the players in the world like that type of quick games. I like slower games RPGs or more old school type of games that lasts and has replay value.

For the controls I've re-keyed the space bar to my E key similar to ME1. I don't like the new setup.. ME2 is really geared for Controllers not PCs. Also it acts as the running key. You can't turn when running. If you hit the wrong wall or barrier your screwed. The AI is sharp shooters. Your dead. Very frustrating. Then it takes 2 to 3 sec to unlock your self from the positional duck and cover technique... very bad from bioware..

I would go for DAO first. Great game. Very good mods out there too. Replay value is very high.. ME2 I find it low.. I'm tugging at my second try.. I might play it one more time.. with a new class... but hard to say.. I hate having to the normandy crash site dlc.. damn too emotional... Damn you Bioware hehehe...

Thinking the same thing too, I figured that DAO would be my safest and best bet(thanks for your input and since have read too similar opinions elsewhere or they were still yours ) just that dragons don't catch my interest like they used to but I may very well pick it up while waiting for Napoleon.

I missed Mass Effect 1 for ages before taking the plunge and boy I realized I had missed something GREAT then. Looks like I'm may be in the similar situation in regard with DAO. Wouldn't want to miss anything epic from Bioware. That would be folly
