Nobody is telling you that you can't buy it. Buy all means go and get it the minute it hits the shelves.
People express their own opinions about what they see from screenshots/videos/interviews etc.
What a sensible man can see is, it looks no where close to awesome, but go ahead, dream on, I guess all shall be revealed in march

I've been noticing a real undertone of "if you don't share my opinion of the game you're crazy/stupid/etc." in the forum lately and I don't like it.

I totally agree with that point. I've been saying that for some days now, apparently, those of us wanting to buy it to be able to make an informed decision for ourselves, are a bunch of fools. Whatever, I think that makes us more of a bunch of smart guys, than fools. At least we'll know what we're talking about.
Though I don't agree with you in the point that the GUI looks cool. That's one of the few facts we can see in the screencaps we've been presented so far, and, while I understand it's the choice the Devs must have had to take in order to have an usable minimalistic interface, I quite don't find it the most appropiate choice. Will be modded for sure after release though, so doesn't really bother me.

A really sensible man would think that the best way to judge would be to test the product. If we had all the information of the world about its functionality, its features, well we could throw in some informed opinions. But we've only seen graphics. Nowhere near close to functional details and the realism environment (the IA sees your closer or further, what happens when an enemy bullet hits you, what happens to ships when they're hit by a torpedo, what happens when you take manual control of the TVR -TDC for everyone else-, what happens if you're surfaced on daylight at 1943, etc...), just all the eyecandy, which we're quite familiar with right now.
And, it's not like the most expensive game you'll find, so, one buys it, and if it's no good, then, ok, some money spent, but at least you have the right to say if it's pure crap or not.

Look, what I said was, a sensible man won't run around yelling "oh this game is awesome, no wait it's awesome in awesomeness!!!"
Now that is fanboy talk, check all the threads even people most opposed to DRM has made some amount of praise to the game. There are points where the devs have been very creative and bold, and there are trivial errors, and gamey looking things..
By all means make your own decision, if you are definitely buying it why not preorder it, or have you done that already?

LOL no one is talking about it being wrong to express opinions before the game is out, just that seems silly too decide weather to buy or skip the game based on those opinions.

Anyway Im buying SH5 based on this.

Well, I never said people should just shut up. I just think that before rushing to negative conclussions and bothering the Devs about it, we should wait to test the game, or wait till we get much more in-depth information. Of course, people can do what they please, I'm not here to tell people what should or should not do.

Preordering, it's not something I like to do in general. I prefer to go to the stores in my city (to support local distribution), or to get games through Steam once they're out. It's not like I'll get it sooner (not much though) if I preorder it.
