You know, in all seriousness, the potential here, if the game is as modable as the Devs say it is, is huge....if we are prepared to wait.

If the modders spend about a year getting rid of all the cheesy nonsense aimed at the casual gamer, in addition to adding the necessary campaign layers in order to finish the game in 1945, then in about March 2011, we should be able to buy the game for about $10, not have to log on to ubisoft's servers in order to play it , add patch 1.4 to fix it, and then mod it to taste.

So, there's no real crew interaction at all? Seems you click on them, they glow angelic, then give you a blank stare with a menu of pre-set (thus repetitive?) options for you to select from.

Hmmm...

Works for me. Still won't expect much more than "action and adventure", but it surely has to be better then.

Does this screen remind anyone of an MMO talent tree? Are those spell levels and... what's that number up there... skill points to spend? (That could just be his age though.)

About the "points and abilities" part, I'll admit that I don't find it particularly useful. If anything, it's dangerously aproaching fantasy RPGs, which a lot of people will surely add to their "I hate that feature" list. I'll try it, but I don't think I like it much, so I'll probably mod it off (if, after all, the game is worth modding) if anyone doesn't do it before me.

Cheers
