Moin,

the food´s disappearance is directly linked to the amount of fuel you have. So, the same approach could be used to make the ice accumulate around the conning (inversely proportional to the amount of remaining fuel). Unfortunately there´s no trigger for 'above' or 'underwater' to make the ice disappear when diving. But there would be a way to link it to the sub´s depth, similar to the way the helmsmen appear/disappear in OH´s last released (and already outdated) version.

Regards,
DD

Yes, you are right, but as I understand it, that UBoat model is to be enabled just when you are patrolling in the arctic during the winter/autumn
I suppose it can be arranged to aopper in winter months and be autopmatical replaced by original one in the period frpom spring to automn by adding dates in subs cfg files.

What about linking it to the CO2?
As soon as you dive, CO2 starts to build up. You can make the ice appear once the CO2 is at 0 and dissapear after it passes 1%.

The question comes to my mind - if the floor of the tower really did freeze (and it possibly should with all this water and frost) , how did they stand on it looking for ships? They had some special shoes or what?

Do you imagine standing on the tower in frosty day with all this water splashing in your face? Brrrrrr.... Hard men those were.

They waited until their shoes were frozen to the plankings...

nah, i've read somewhere that the northern flotillas had some low temperature clothing. Might have been when i browsed through the book about U-995 or even in this forum.

Hummm yes, but then it would also appear in the Mediterranean and when you patrol in the wintern in warmer latitudes

The best option is that SH3 Commander enables it automatically when you are in a career with the 11th/13th flotilla.

Thanks for your trust in my skills. But for many different reasons there is only veeeeeeeeeery little, not to say no chance this would be possible or will ever happen. One of them is the fact, that the crew member´s jaws/cheeks are not only moving but changing shape. So, an additional 3d object "growing" out of their cheeks will not do the trick. Besides the crew is made of different "parts" (body, head, hat, binocs) that are stored in an external *.dat file. Don´t know whether these files would accept a *.sim file to be linked to them. Besides I am no wizard. Unfortunately. LOL.

Regards,
DD
