i cant say it enough times Tater.

i appreciate the humor

how many times in this thread have i said that?

several

the key issue is that new content is being released every few days now... at least once a week, when i go to the SH5 thread i want to see that content.

frankly im done discussing it.

We all know it is wrong to post misleading thread titles.

one of the main rules of internet forum manners and simple common sense.

im here for content and to make an educated decision as to whether or not to purchase SH5.

if you want to make jokes all day thats awesome... really its cool... i just think it shouldnt be a total time waster.

just my opinion... to which i am entitled.

just as you are entitled to you

but that doesnt make anyone a "credulous goon"

How much time has you wasted on this thread, more that it took to instantly see the joke image, laugh, and move on?

You are the one suggesting that people get officially sanctioned for HUMOR.

That's why the conus post was funny, sorry. Of the 3 images, the only really funny one, too.

Lighten up. Again, it's only misleading to the gullible. If it's not published by Ubi, it's not official, PERIOD. ANyone who thinks otherwise? Who cares?

Hell, anyone who googles SH5 right now is more likely to land on a DRM rant than anything else, "misleading" humor is far less damaging.

You can't give away punch-line before you finish telling the joke.
So the "Awesome Jokes" thread on GT doesn't work for you?

I found it funny. It is one of the threads that I always check specifically because of its title.

It actually does work for me. Some really good jokes there.
But it does not give away the punchlines of the jokes. Back to square one...

It's like rick-roll gags. The first time it was ever done it was funny.

How about we start a sticky thread "rick-rolls" and people post links that everyone can not click since they know it's a rick-roll?

That's what putting the conus thread in "humor" would be doing. No different.

Funniest thing I've seen here in a long time, and it was absolutely made more funny by the expectation I had clicking the thread title. Absolutely more funny because I thought it was gonna be a new SS, AND it was so well executed on his part. Gold.

I added a disclaimer to mine so as to not confuse anyone.
I couldn't find a way to edit the thread title so I can add [joke] to the beginning. Moderators, feel free to delete it.

Sorry if I annoyed anyone with my attempt at humour, it won't happen again.

Didn't annoy me at all, and I'm sorry you felt you had to change it.

"This is a joke. This is only a joke. Had this been serious you would have been directed to tune to your local Konelrad station for instructions on how to deal with it. This is a joke. This is only a joke."

I remember the first good laugh i had at your expense was when you tried to make a cell phone call at the 2008 subsim meet and they answered the phone...

"Hey" you said "where are you guys?"

and the person answered "ummm... standing right next to you."

And now the joke's on you. It was Neal who made that call, and it was to me.

The big joke on me at that meet was when I had Dan for a roommate for four days, and told Neal what a great guy I though Dan was and would really like to meet their spokesman, Elanaiba, someday.

Had no idea they were one and the same.

For those of you not around at that time:
